Multitasking has become a vital skill. It allows us to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, increasing our productivity and efficiency. But did you know your iPad can also multitask? Yes, you heard it right! With the Split View feature on iPad, you can run two apps side by side, making your work easier and more organized. So, let’s dive in and explore how to make the most of your iPad’s capabilities!

 

If you’re drawing Procreate and want to open your Photos…

  1. Tap the Multitasking button at the top of the screen
  2. Tap Split view to send Procreate to one side
  3. Tap Photos on your Home screen or in the App Library to open it on the other side

 

Split View with Single App

  1. Open two notesside by side
  2. Tap notes on the Home screen to open your first note
  3. Slide one finger up from the bottom edge of the screen until the Dock appears and then release.
  4. Touch and hold the Notes app and drag it off the Dock to either side of the screen
  5. If you need to open another one, open the Dock and tap Notes
  6. Now you can see all the notes you have open
  7. Tap the plus sign for a new one

 

Exit Split View

  1. Tap the Multitasking button at the top of either side
  2. Tap full screen
  3. Each of the notes stay open on its own 
  4. To see all open apps, you can swipe up from the bottom of the screen

Now we’ll walk you through everything from initial setup to advanced features, ensuring you get the most out of your wearable tech. Respond to a message

  1. Raise your wrist to see the message,
  2. Tap the app drawer to send an emoji or a Memoji, Record a message with your voice
  3. Tap the iMessage field to enter a text reply

 

View and clear notifications

  1. You can see them all in one place in Notification Center,
  2. Swipe down from the top of your watch face
  3. Turn the Digital Crown.
  4. Swipe your finger on the screen to scroll through them.
  5. Once you’re all caught up, you can clear notifications from this list by selecting the notification you want to delete, swiping left across it, and tapping the X.
  6. To clear all of your notifications at once, scroll to the top
  7. Tap Clear All.

 

Open Control Center

Control Center gives you quick access to settings like Do Not Disturb, the Ping iPhone button…

  1. To open Control Center, touchand hold the bottom edge of the display
  2. Swipe up.
  3. You can close Control Center by swiping down from the top of the display
  4. Press  the Digital Crown.

 

Use Apple Pay

If you’ve set up Apple Pay on your iPhone, you can make purchases at participating locations

  1. By double-clicking the side button 
  2. Bring your watch display near the contactless reader
  3. You’ll feel a gentle tap and hear a chime when the transition is complete

 

Change watch face

  1. Swipe left or right from one edge of the screen
  2. To  swap in a different watch face saved in your collection or touch and hold the watch face
  3. Swipe left all the way to the end

 

Use Siri

  1. Press and hold the Digital Crown
  2. Say something like, “Set a timer for five minutes.”

 

Return to watch face

To return to your watch face

  1. When you’re done using an app, press the Digital Crown to quickly return to the last app you were using

 

Return to last-used app

  1. Double-click the Digital Crown.

 

Open the Dock

  1. To see all your recently used apps in the dock, press the side button on your Apple Watch from any screen.

 

Call for help, turn off Apple Watch, and turn on Apple Watch

  1. Press and hold the side button
  2. Drag the EMERGENCY SOS slider to the right, which lets you quickly call for help and sends a message with your location to your emergency contacts
  3. You can also turn off your Apple Watch by dragging the POWER OFF slider to the right
  4. To turn it back on again, press and hold the side button.
